Lead Acquiescence
2009
10 lb. lead ball, cement, my hand, dimensions variable
—
A lead ball is dropped - it is a unique action in time, remembered only by
a small faceted scar on the materials surface. Done again and again, the
scar builds, proof of energy expended. Through initially strong, the floor
underneath the lead begins to break down, weakened through recurrence.
With time the materials continue to chip away at one another, revealing
what lies beneath as what remains of an action.
